Penalties
CCPA provides for civil penalties up to $7,500 per intentional violation. Consumers can also bring private lawsuits for data breaches.
Maximum Fine
Up to $2,500 per unintentional violation, $7,500 per intentional violation. Private lawsuits: $100-$750 per consumer per incident.
Cross-Border Transfers
CCPA does not impose specific requirements on cross-border transfers but addresses data protection through contract requirements with service providers and third parties.
